We consign - we do not buy items outright.
Armadio is always hunting for unique, eclectic, fabulous + trending finds. Consigning is good for your closet, your wallet, local business and the planet.
THE NITTY-GRITTY (WE PROMISE IT'S PAINLESS)
• TWO BAGS, PLEASE! Bring a maximum of 2 bags or bins per drop-off. No need for hangers - we have plenty!
• CLEAN + CUTE WINS. Items should be clean, fresh, new or like new, with no holes, stains, damage or questionable smells. Items discovered after intake to be unsuitable may be donated, recycled or repurposed.
• LEAVE THE PRICING TO US. Armadio prices items based on brand, condition, style, season, demand and resale value. Prices may be adjusted during the consignment period.
• YES, WE HAVE SALES! Consigned merchandise may be included in markdowns, promotions and storewide sales. Sometimes a little discount is exactly what finds an item its new home.
• THREE MONTHS TO FIND TRUE LOVE. Accepted items generally remain on consignment for 3 months unless other arrangements have been made with the Armadio Crew.
• WHEN IT SELLS, YOU GET 40%. Consignors receive 40% of the final selling price after applicable markdowns or promotions.
WHAT IF IT DOESN'T SELL?
Not every fabulous piece finds its person - and that's okay. After the 3-month consignment period, unsold merchandise is donated to a charity or community organization of Armadio's choosing. Because of the volume we handle, Armadio does not return unsold items at the end of the consignment period.
• SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS. Furs, luxury pieces priced over $500 and western wear may be stored for another season and re-ticketed at Armadio's discretion.
• A SECOND SECOND LIFE. Items unsuitable for donation because of wear or damage may be recycled or repurposed, including into reusable bags.
SHOW ME THE MONEY!
• Once your account balance reaches $50, email us to request your payout. All payout requests must be in writing.
• Balances under $50 may be requested for a $2 under-limit fee. Payouts are sent by e-transfer. Cheque requests are subject to a $2 processing fee.
• Balances not collected within 6 months are available as in-store credit only. After 12 months of account inactivity, remaining balances will be donated to a charity or community organization of Armadio's choosing.
ABOUT THE FANCY STUFF
We love a fabulous designer find - but we also need to know it's the real deal. By consigning with Armadio, you confirm that you legally own the merchandise and that, to the best of your knowledge, it is authentic.
• Designer items valued over $300 may require professional authentication. The authentication fee is $75. When a certificate is provided, it stays with the item.
• Counterfeit merchandise cannot be sold at Armadio and may be subject to a $50 account fee.
ONE LAST LITTLE THING...
We take care of your treasures as if they were our own, but life happens. Armadio cannot be held responsible for theft, loss or accidental damage to consigned merchandise.
